a memorial day to remember

ok, if i told you that the reason my iphone was on the serious fritzes on memorial day involved a round of mini golf and a water hazard what would you think?

you'd probably think i did something stupid like fish out my ball from the water and my phone slipped out of my pocket into the drink. well, i did fish my ball out of the water once after hitting the ball off the course with my superhuman strength but that's not how the iphone got wet.

rather, i was standing on a bridge over a water hazard and went to lean back on the ropes that served as the rails. well, little did i know the rope wasn't actually tied to the post but cheaply pinned to the post. yeah, this is what happened to the rope, you can probably figure out what happened to me.
that's right, i went backwards into that pleasant blue puddle of water. it's certainly got plenty of food coloring in it, but i don't think they put too much chlorine in there and it's probably been standing still there since the place opened for the season. and that is how the iphone got wet and went nuts. thankfully, as of today, it seems to be functioning perfectly well again (fingers crossed).
we did finish off the round, although i think my concentration was broken a bit. in the end, at least i got a brand new outfit out of it since i needed a shower and change of clothes.
