things i saw today

while walking down the street today in search of a gourmet supermarket i noticed a whole bunch of people standing around at a corner like they were waiting for something (See picture). i finally figured out that they were standing in line waiting there time to get the experience of climbing down a manhole in the middle of the street. i'm pretty sure that is not an experience worth waiting in line for, if you want to see rats and bad smells there are plenty of opportunities to do that in ny without climbing down a manhole.

i also noticed that there is this hair salon that has stylists to celebrities one block down the street from me. maybe i should schedule an appointment for a $50 men's haircut and see what they can do with the few strands of hair i have. yeah, maybe not.
