newest housemate

that's lucy, a 55lb doberman. she is really very sweet and for whatever reason she really likes me. probably because i walk her and occasionally "drop" some food on the floor. now i've never been a huge fan of dogs or pets in general, but this is my ideal situation for a dog. be friendly, don't shed, let me walk her when i want, but otherwise have no responsibility to feed/take to vet/buy stuff for/etc... despite the stereotype, she is indeed quite gentle. per wikipedia, that's actually not that rare for her breed.

and this is a picture of my new room from the door, the rest of the pics will be coming shortly. i've also discovered goodwill, that's where the lamp on the nightstand is from along with some of the other items you'll eventually see.
