just for you

since i'm off to omaha and then NY, i probably won't blog again until after labor day. i'll post pictures of my omaha steak though. anyways, here are the long overdue photos of my room before i take off for a bit.
this is the view from the other corner at my desk/plastic dresser area. i installed that wire shelf for extra storage space and to hang all my shirts since the closet is tight otherwise.
and here's the view from my bed. i've got the wireless mouse going which i found at walmart on clearance and then i found a bluetooth wireless keyboard at goodwill to go along with it. that mirror on the wall is also a goodwill find. you'll see my fine shelf put to work there. the computer i inherited from jed, the 22" widescreen monitor i sprung for, and the cable/DVR box that came with the room (making use of the $200 cable bill). that's a fine episode of design on a dime that i'm playing back, one of my new favorite shows. don't ask me about how long it took to get the TV tuner card working with the computer. a frustrating 15 hours at least i think.

i'll eventually get around to putting up other pictures, but first things first. i got isabelle allende's Zorro for the plane trip and am looking forward to getting away for a little bit, even better when it's courtesy of the G.
