got to start somewhere

ok, so i know i owe you all a bunch of pictures of my new place and what not. it's all coming, promise. for now though i will give you a picture of my fine woodworking. so this evening, i built this shelf. yeah, it's not much but you have to start somewhere right? for those who don't know the background, after watching lots of HGTV i've been inspired to learn how to do my own carpentry, furniture refinishing, etc... anyways, the top shelf is an unused bookshelf, the side pieces are some plank of wood i found in the garage and cut up with a circular saw i found in same garage. then i put two nails in each side, and voila, a shelf. i was going to stain it but i got lazy. baby steps.
