taking things into my own hands
since my landlord still hasn't sprung for a guy to properly get the birds out of my dryer vent, i decided to take matters into my own hands this afternoon. basically, using some duct tape, an old clothes hanger, leaning halfway out my window with a stick and some patience i was able to temporarily rig the cover back onto the vent (that metal grate thing). we'll see in the morning if the birds break it down or not. i'm not sure if there's a live nest in there, if so, there's going to be some rotting eggs... if not, someone still needs to clean it out because with all the lint and whatever the bird brought in, it's a big fire risk.
and this was my dinner tonight:
mmm. we had a seder dinner for the children's program at church this evening. they had to modify parts of it to keep the children's attention. like grape juice for wine, and chicken nuggets and fries for the traditional meal. i did have plenty of matzoh ball soup and even took some home, i passed on the huge bags of chicken nuggets though.
