winter over already?

day in review. started bright and early with the last saturday food distribution. i was kind of bored while waiting for the produce truck, so i decided to make a sculpture out of boxes. it would have been more elaborate but i'm vertically challenged, plus the truck was arriving:


And for some reason we had an incredible amount of boxes today. i ended up helping break down probably 60% of them. that pallet is a neatly arranged, about 5 feet high of cardboard.
Now, the afternoon was the inspiration for the title. i went on my once-a-year ice skating trip
As for the post title, my company at the rink was so entertaining that i somehow managed to lose another pair of gloves. i say another because i had lost a pair the day previous as well. now, i'm not really absentminded as i've had both pairs of gloves for over two years. anyways, since i was planning on bicycling to church tomorrow morning, i figured i'd just go out and pick up another (cheap) pair of gloves. that said, i went to tj maxx - no non-ski gloves, old navy - no gloves, sports authority - no non-ski gloves, and target - no gloves. seriously, four stores, not one place that doesn't sell non-ski gloves. i guess it's too late in the retail season.
