good thing bandwith is free

i was browsing fatwallet, and came across peerimpact, a walmart/yahoo/etc.. music download competitor (not itunes compatible, it uses windows DRM). anyways, this is a legit site according to the RIAA themselves.

as you can see from the website, they are selling all songs for 1 cent each, and albums for 10 cents each. i deposited $5 into my account, and despite a few glitches where they erroneously take money out of that $5 i have managed to download five albums thus far with one pending. worth the investment i think. the site is being overwhelmed by the "fatwallet effect" though. here's the FW thread if you're interested.

latest update: burning cd's isn't super simple, but it does work so far.
