more pictures!

so, this blog is turning into a photo journal, but that's the mood i'm in these days.
yesterday (saturday), i was going to go meet up with jed, megan and drew who was in town visiting at Clarendon day, a food/music/art festival over in arlington. i was pretty non-commital about going, but on a whim, without giving jed a heads up i decided to ride a bike over there. as some of you know, we have a large bike room here with many "abandoned" bicycles which i often "borrow" because they are nicer than mine. yesterday, i took a Trek 7000, which was a very comfortable ride.

Anyways, to make a long story short, i started from my house which is around braddock road on the map below, headed for clarendon. i ended up at Foggy Bottom/GWU which you will notice is on the other side of the potomac river.

i gave up when i reached GWU and ended up taking the subway over to clarendon. When i finally called Jed after getting there, they had already left of course.

i did end up meeting up with all of them at karaoke later that evening. i was a real trooper about it and stayed till like 12:45 am, ridiculously past my bedtime. It should be noted that when i got home i forgot to set my alarm and ended up sleeping through the first half hour of church today.

I did just get back from a children's activity at church where we went out to this dairy farm way far away where there was a big bonfire, corn maze, and of course lots of cows. It was a good time and i think i didn't lose any of the children in the corn maze (although some parents thought i did for a bit). There was a pumpkin patch too, she was very cute in picking up that pumpkin but this picture came out better.

And in the spirit of junk food eating, i ate two hot dogs at this dairy farm for dinner in addition to a hot chocolate, i'm not an aficianado of it like some of you, but it hit the spot in the cold and the price was right which always helps. There were actually 50 hot dogs left, but i resisted the urge to have a third.
