today at work i received not one, but two awards for my "öutstanding contributions." it's actually quite rare to get awards and bonuses in the govt, and unheard of to get two at the same time. this is the benefit though of being at an offsite with no clear management structure. The management in my building got me a cash award and at the same time my rating official and "official" management over at HQ gave me a time-off award. i'm not complaining though. it ain't private sector scale money, but even after taxes, it's enough to buy something pretty nice and the hours off should come in handy over the actual christmas holiday.

congratulations! down the road, if not now, you can pawn that cash award from your office building to get more from headquarters

keep up the good work. only two more years and we won't have to deal with Dubya's mistakes, and you won't have to work so hard to protect our country!
Frank, I dissagree. I think we will be dealing with dubya's mistakes for a long time to come, it's just he won't be able to make any more mistakes.
