book suggestions

well, yesterday afternoon i discovered the condo association pool. i sat there for a couple of hours finishing up Mike Greenberg's book. That said, i can picture myself out there reading quite a bit the rest of this summer. So, if you have any good, light reading to suggest please let me know.

tonight, if the rain holds, i might restart that old chicago summer tradition of movies in the park. they are showing To Have and Have Not on the mall in DC. if you remember, i enjoyed that Hemingway novel via books-on-tape last year. of course, the movie starring a 19 year old Bacall is based very loosely on the novel, basically not at all. they turned it into a chick-flick romance.
