hello

this post was written on my new (to me) P3 700mhz, Acer laptop running Win 98. Much better than that junk dell i sold on ebay which was a celeron and had massive hard drive problems. this laptop even has a good battery and is comparable to my desktop in terms of capabilities. yes, i know your fancy WinXP machines dwarf it, but that's what happens when you're poor.

the reason why i'm still up and blogging is that i finally got the wireless internet to work. i spent probably 3 hours the last two days trying to get the PCMCIA wireless card to work but i think it's defective or not compatible with win98. i finally gave in and hooked up the old usb adapter which works perfectly. good enough for now.
