where do they come up with these names

so on my way home from work at 3:30 PM courtesy of an "early dismissal" i caught "the world" on NPR which i rarely listen to. anyways, this story came on. if you have a few minutes this Good Friday, i suggest you listen, it's entertaining and filled with clips from their songs. listen to the lyrics. i'm sure that the asian complaint site jed has somewhere on his blog would probably complain.
