for those of you wondering if i'm only posting after Mets victories the answer is no. it just so happens that i've only posted after they won this week, but it was mostly due to the fact that it was a busy tu-thursday. although i do admit it was depressing to see billy wagner blow a save already. the title should read 3-0. i got a certificate of appreciation last night from a group i only volunteered with really for three months or so. that's fast returns for you, not to mention they feed me at least once a month. i also hit a major league single in softball up the middle last night in my first time ever playing. my team is basically like an all-star team so i'm volunteering to switch out since i'm no a-rod so i only got 1 AB because we didn't come up again in the bottom of the 4th since we were up by like 20 runs already. The rules are different to ensure quick game play, basically all 10 hitters come to the plate every inning, and you play 4 innings. the maximum number of runs you can score in an inning is thus 10, and likewise the most ABs you can get in a game is 4. Anyways, i'm hitting 1.000 and i'm proud to say it wasn't a cheap hit where it was due to non-ML defense.
