thanks again gw
a major milestone has passed in my blog world, the title refers back to the first real post of this blog. Technically, this was the first post, but as i noted in that post, i did it in retrospect. the first legitimate post was on GW's bday a year ago yesterday. So happy birthday to my blog, who knew it would last this long. To celebrate, i've added a counter on the side so i can now run extensive stats on who visits my blog. Big brother has started watching indeed.
i think i did a better job this year of remembering GW. I still ran, didn't shoot hoops because my basketball is deflated, and i had my tuna meal last night, so not again tonight. I did walk over to the nearby Washington Masonic temple (finally), and i spent a good hour and a half there including taking the guided tour where i learned all about GW and that secret freemason's society which includes some 15 US presidents among its alumni.
i'm also happy to report that i ran the GW Bday 10k again this year, and did it a good minute faster than last year on the same course. will add the time to my list when it gets officially posted online. there's hope yet, although i'm probably still 3 minutes slower than in 2002.
Anyways, here's to maybe another year of blogging.

In addition to being a blog, i've decided to turn this into a personal webpage. I've realized that
this template they give me makes it super easy to create personal webpages and what not and I will take full advantage.

Hey--that's the temple that we took my grandfather to years ago! When my mom wasn't looking he threw his gum off the top of the tower at some lady in the parking lot. He missed, but we still thought it was the greatest thing ever.
RIP, Pastor Bob. I'll keep an eye out for heaven-sent projectiles.
