cruel and unusual?

a few of the key members of my church small group are away this week, so instead of our normal meetings, one of the couples hosted everyone at their place for dinner.
so they put a huge bowl of beef stew in front of me; a basket of warm, homemade bread; a stick of butter; and my favorite type of salad - broccoli. given my weakness for all of the above (you all know my carbohydrate addiction), and my tendency to drink lots of water, i spent a considerable part of the evening after eating in massive discomfort. i didn't even get to the apple pie (my favorite dessert), although i did take a slice home. anyways, that was the most discomfort i've felt in quite a while, considerably worse than the effects of this cold which has seriously slowed me down the last few days. if they did this to prisoners it would probably be cruel and unusual, although with these trigger and torture happy courts of ours in the next decades, nothing is probably going to be cruel and unusual.
