yesterday, i said i wasn't going to post today, but turns out the commitment i thought i had, i don't, so here i am. the thing with my boycott of tv is that i don't have much to do, and rather than spend my time reading or otherwise stimulating the mind i surf the web for a few minutes till i'm bored and then blog. lucky for you, that means more updates all around.
So last week around when i received the UofC card i also received a letter from the Smart museum. how they tracked me down i know not. When i first saw it i was sure this was a fundraising letter, yet nowhere in it do they ask for money and they don't even put in any sort of return envelope or website where you can do such a thing (i was probably going to throw them something for all that food i ate by calling it "damaged"). Anyways, the one thing i did get out of it is that they are planning on hosting the first Former Smart Museum Employee Social during alumni weekend. i'm booking my ticket now.

8.45pm addendum: and how in the world do you walk out with 550 lbs of explosives. In this post 9/11 world you wouldn't think you could back your dodge ram up, load it up with some military grade explosives you find laying around and drive off without one person/camera noticing.

I got one of those cards too, and I was also curious to know how they got my address. Maybe your work should hire whoever did the research on us.
i too got a letter, though I was not so surprised, because I have donated to my former employer.
we don't need smart researchers now(yes, a pun) that W has taken care of that annoying probable cause threshold.
