the nerve of some people

so, today i got about 10 minutes total of decorating done. got in to work a bit early because i have to leave around 4.15 pm to beat all the traffic and get to my wednesday night volunteering. anyways, work was busy all day and i still didn't get to this backlogged work i absolutely need done by friday. it was not helped by me agreeing to sit in on a briefing where the individuals getting briefed apparentely loved to hear their own voice and turned a 30 minute thing into 1.5 hours (this is a theme of my day).

anyways, i return to my desk at 3.30 to prepare to leave by 4.15 and i get a voicemail from some agent in san antonio saying he had a couple of general questions to ask me, nothing specific about a case or anything. i'm like that sounds reasonable, i'll call him back. i get him on the line and he says hey, can you call me on the STU? that i should've realized as not a good sign, simple, general questions don't require secure phones. anyways, his simple question turned into a 1 hour 45 minute long conversation, i kid you not, where i spoke at most 20 minutes. i will also brief the entire conversation to someone tomorrow in about 15 minutes that's how much actual content there was.

Being the good volunteer i am, despite being one hour later than normal (i usually get there about 35 minutes early anyways), i decide i should still trek it there. Well, turns out i had one of the slowest commutes ever and turned a one hour normal drive at 4.15 into about 1 hour and 35 minutes. what kind of idiot abandons a car in the MIDDLE of a major highway? don't these people think to push them to the shoulder? seriously this car was abandoned in the middle lane of a three lane highway (rte 66 for ppl familiar with dc). i was so full of road rage when i saw it it crossed my mind to come back with some gasoline and torch it.

at least clinic went well which redeemed the night and helped me calm down. i had a wham bam thank you ma'am client who was very happy and it took all of 15 minutes, after which i got to hang out and be friendly (although unfortunately we had some paramedic excitement when a client went ill).

harry potter has been neglected i admit, but i got a bit further and hope harry dies even more. neville has entered the picture, he's clearly the one who takes out voldemort. all right, that's enough for me, i'm tired but felt guilty for not posting in a few days. no apprentice post tomorrow, probably be back here on saturday.

I don't understand what kind of clinic this is. However, from your description I surmise the worst. Or perhaps the best in your case. You dog, you.
