in a harry potter state of mind

after watching the goblet of fire movie, i got put back into the harry potter mindset and decided to start reading the books again and picked up Order of the Phoenix at the library. Although i know generally what happens in order of phoenix and in half blood prince thanks to wiki it's kind of interesting to read it with the knowledge that neville is the key and harry dies (i accept sarah's idea there) and to look for clues to that end. i read about 180 pages yesterday of the 800 so, that of course took all of about 2 hours. Harry sure does have some attitude problems in this new book in the first 180 pages and being a team player. i'm glad he's going to die in the last one. the savior neville hasn't made his grand appearance yet but his parents memory has.

in other news, how difficult is it to kick a field goal of 35 yards when you are a NFL kicker. this feely guy is getting borderline ridiculous. and what's with this rams qb from harvard. the nfl commentators on fox can't mention his name without saying he went to harvard. they've said harvard at least 10 times in the last hour i've been watching. It's not like he went to chicago, harvard is a Division 1 athletic program, complete with athletic scholarships. there are numerous professional athletes from ivy league schools, and tons from stanford which commentators never mention. i guess that's the harvard mystique though.

anyone know how to build a motor that can pull things up and down automatically (or side to side like a winshield wiper) for under $10 and minimal soldering and circuit board building? i need to spruce up the gingerbread decorations.
