short term memory

so, during the day i sometimes think about topics i feel would be worth mentioning in my blog. yet, when i finally get around to typing something, i always forget. i usually then proceed to write about whatever the last random thing i came across on the Internet was (like best fit american cities, or wondering how that one Navy SEAL managed to survive). oh well.

i had a fine 4th of july. i even found an American flag pin which i stuck on my tote bag. Went into DC for the fireworks, didn't go to the mall and fight the crowds but was conned into walking 1.5 miles (yes, my own fault for saying "i don't care where we go") to a not-too-crowded park (only 3 police cruisers present). The experience was worth it i suppose, however i didn't get to see too many of the fireworks thanks to trying to avoid a large mass of people and being pushed to the side where a few large trees obstructed the line of sight. I didn't really care though, all fireworks shows are pretty much the same, and i've seen the Grucci family's show on Long Island before. For those not in the fireworks know, the Grucci's are supposedly one of the best out there. One of their sons was my congressman for a while too.
