back 2 good

i think i'll use song names by pop bands for my titles this week. Every now and then you have to step back and re-evaluate the important things in life, like this blog. in doing so, i've realized i've strayed from the mission as stated in the first post (link on the right). So to get back to that, here's a random thing from 10 minutes ago:

my new work hours now enable me to start running with the west nile virus carriers at like 9 PM. it also keeps me up late so i can watch my old favorite programs like baseball tonight. After watching them glow (for about 30 seconds) over my world series bound mets tonight on BT, i decided to watch sportscenter. Tonight they were doing one of those behind the scenes things on ESPN during sportscenter so you could see all the noise and crap that goes on behind the scenes during the show. If you just wanted to watch the regular show, it was on ESPN2. I kept telling myself i don't give a damn about behind the scenes sportscenter and just wanted to watch the mets highlights, yet every time i flipped to espn2, i was back on espn 15 seconds later. go figure, maybe that behind the scenes stuff is interesting after all.
