who wants to buy me a laptop
so, i've decided to rip my tiny CD collection into MP3 in anticipation of acquiring a Zen Micro one day (yes, a zen, not an ipod mini - i want FM radio and replaceable batteries). well on my crappy computer it takes about 3-4 minutes to rip a track and convert it to mp3. do the math, it comes out to like 45 mins average per cd. despite having only a few, that time adds up. I've done about 5 cds thus far, and in the middle of the sheryl crow one the computer goes crazy and crashes. i restart the computer, and poof, i have 0 cd rom drives all of a sudden. spent the last hour trying to get my CD rom drive back to no avail and am giving up for the day. i think i just need to get a new computer, however i want a new computer to be a laptop, and that's way too expensive for the purposes i need it for. hence the title of this post. any takers?
PS, it's 90 degrees out but much nicer than the previous days since the humidity has gone away.
PPS, how about that mets game last night. a game tying in the park homerun in the bottom of the 9th, they give up a run in the 10th only to come back and win it with a walk off HR in the bottom of the 10th.

In addition to being a blog, i've decided to turn this into a personal webpage. I've realized that
this template they give me makes it super easy to create personal webpages and what not and I will take full advantage.

Your poor computer. I'd attempt suicide too if someone tried to burn Sheryl Crow's music into me.
