IRL not Nascar

Today, thanks in part to the Danica Patrick (not the dude from espn) story, i watched about 70% of the the Indy 500. Before you start saying i've become a southern redneck, let me point out that this was not Nascar. This is legitimate car racing, and was actually quite interesting for cars going in circles for a couple hours.

Rumor has it that the number i gave jed in a comment on his blog was actually a winner. go figure, perhaps it was just my day to beat all odds, should've bought a lotto ticket. hope that makes up for me not sending you bday gifts, i'm really bad about things like that. i don't even think i've called anyone on their proper bday yet this year, always a few days late.

The mets are so streaky it's ridiculous, and still can't beat the braves. at least no one is running away with the NL east. Poor poor cubs. I do recollect telling certain cubs fans years ago that Mark Prior was destined for nothing until he goes to the yankees and wins 10 cy youngs. The cubs are just cursed, and playing for them gets him all the freak injuries.
