2 in a row, i'm off that long season band wagon, and back on the NL east champions bandwagon. Sure the bullpen blew another great start by a starting pitcher, but we came back in the late innings and the heralded young players came through again. this is what i like to see. now to get some pitching help and NL East is locked up.
how about those whitesox too. they're cruising. poor cubbies need prior indeed (and offense, like usual).
I just read on CNN some apprentice contestant got arrested. i kind of forgot that show was still on, it didn't look all that interesting. Neil - did you ever realize who the boss was on MBFOB on Fox.

Yeah. MBFOB was a monkey spinning a wheel. Can't believe I wasted my time watching that show. The paintball episode was the highpoint that drew me to it. Other than that, worst show ever (in comic book store guy voice).
Monkey spinning a wheel! That's fantastic! What a big joke they played on those saps. Actually, I think the biggest joke might actually be on Fox, since I completely forgot that suckass show existed until Rj mentioned it.
It was kind of an interesting concept though after hearing them explain it in the last episode. The way they tried to explain it, the people who made it into the final rounds actually did so by their own merit. Even though the tasks were stupid, only the losing teams had to go back to the boardroom and so to last that long, they had to be good at the challenges. They then turned the whole "monkey spinning a wheel" thing into a metaphor of what it is like in the real world and explained that it often takes luck to get to the top. After the last spin of the wheel however, this wouldn't matter as much. The last two finalists both came away with big bucks.
