Camp Q is done, was a lot of fun, and it'll be back to the grind on monday.
Today our class counselor and administration here pulled a lot of strings and got the SecDef's office to ask Marine Helicopter Squadron One based in Quantico to give us a tour. This is the unit responsible for those green and white helicopters you see on TV (there are an undisclosed number of them). It's quite a treat supposedly since if you're not a VIP you need Top Secret clearance + a secret service check to see if you've threatened the president to see it.
Unfortunately, no pictures since they didn't want the helicopters or the facility photographed. All i can say is that i don't know how people came up with the idea of helicopters since it's not based on anything you see in nature that flies (unlike an airplane). It's amazing that they can get something so monstrous off the ground with those propellors.

they wouldn't tell us. that's need-to-know information regardless of your clearance. so sorry, otherwise i would for 5 bucks.
