That was going to be the end of this post, but then i got an e-mail right before i blogged (is that a verb) that an old friend from church had finally landed his dream job in academia after 9 months of applying for all sorts of stuff he sort of did and didn't want to do. Throw that on top of the original inspiration which was from bible study earlier tonight regarding how impatient we are regarding our relationships, careers, hopes, etc... (based on the tempatations of Christ passage if you care). I definitely fall victim to the temptation of instant gratification all the time. Regardless what you believe, there is definitely something to be said for patience, it's a virtue you know. (according to Bill Bennett, gambling problem and all)
